Set in the scenic northern slopes of the Magaliesberg Mountains, could there be a better place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the inner city, than the Season’s Touch Spa an oasis of beauty and tranquillity – boasting three private double Zen Treatment Rooms with balconies adjourned to an eco-dam where the sights and sounds of nature make the spa a transportive experience.

Season’s Touch Spa is well known for its hydrotherapy treatment facilities, consisting of the following:

Kneipp Therapy Pools

A hydrotherapy treatment that involves the use of hot and cold water to stimulate nerves, blood vessels and internal organs. Treatment improves blood circulation and boost the body’s immune system.

We had a fun time trying the Kneipp Therapy, the hot pools are soothing and the cold gives your body a surprise jolt worth having a go at for awakening those senses.

Flotation Therapy

The salt water flotation pool is heated to maintain the body’s natural temperature. Without the need for any muscle action, the body becomes almost weightless and a deep state of relaxation is achieved in 15-20 minutes. Endorphins are released encouraging a feeling of wellbeing.

Rasul

With its roots in Arabic bathing rituals, Rasul Therapy is a popular method to exfoliate, revive and detox the body. Upon entering the Rasul, the client is supplied with an exfoliator and a body mask which is applied whilst the chamber fills with steam to assist in detoxifying the body. The treatment ends with a cool rain shower that assists with the removal of the mask, refreshing the body & leaving one revitalized.

The Season’s Touch Spa offers a great selection of treatments that can satisfy your every whim. Lishe was treated to the Season’s Signature Massage – An ultra-relaxing treatment that combines light strokes, pressure and stretching. They combined the sound of Rain and warm aroma Pouches to eliminate each and every one of your tension knots.

It was certainly worth it, having entered the spa with all the stress of an eventful schedule and year – the treatment and the spa surroundings allowed us to unburden and slip into a state of relaxation that the body had been insisting on for months. The treatments given by two therapists – Pearl and Charlotte who soothed us into a calming state but effective, using expert techniques.

If you haven’t been to the Season’s Spa make it a point to book as soon as possible and if you have been, it’s worth another visit.

Four benefits of having a therapeutic massage:

A massage session is a break from your job, your family, friends… to slow down and de-stress.

A massage improves blood circulation, which delivers oxygen and nutrients to the cells.

It has been proven that massage releases a hormone called Serotonin that enhances the body and mind’s “feel good” state. When you receive a spa service, your mind, body and soul are in harmony.

Heat treatments (like the use of the warm aroma pouches used in the Season’s Signature Massage) in the form of either warm, dry air or warm, moist air heat the body to stimulate blood circulation, initiating the purifying process.
