What’s Garden Day without a tea time.

Date

Even if you’re not a garden fairy or lover, Spring time commands you to come out and play. So you can imagine for the plant mommies, daddies and just plant families…Garden day signify a day of enjoying the hard-work of tending to our mini ”Edens” , our garth and honestly just doing what we do everyday ….enjoy what we created beyond our front or back doors. If you’re a mom like me, when I bought my first home, a month later I found out I was pregnant with my little lion…the house I had purchased had back area that was crying out to be a garden and a future play area for my son ; and so it began. Weeks of a gardener working the ground , then planting grass followed by months of me watering, planting, moving and shaping. It is still all worth it , for the joy the garden brings to my little family and especially my little lion.

If we’re frank, is there a more perfect match than being in your garden and tea time. I can’t think of one…Tea time and the garden is intended to be pleasant, natural areas where people might escape the busy outside world to quite spaces and a moment of celebration with your child or friends and family.

Our tea time was filled with floral arrangements and flower crowns from floral designer Livia owner of Hatfield Flowers , an array of teas from Tetley teas new range of green teas plus vitamin C and fruit flavors (like Mango, Apple, Peach and Orange) Checker’s Forage and Feast Rooibos and ginger and a decadent Carmein Masala Chai Spices and turmeric tea; our garden day tea time menu consisted of Masala chai tea infused French toast – made with traditional croissant loaf from Checkers – served with a fruit salad and Forage and Feast rooibos tea infused simple syrup, delicious Dr. Sadiki savory scone (cheese and chives infused) and plain scones which we served with a Danish garden – no sugar added mixed berries jam , ice lollipops made from the Tetley Green tea plus Vitamin C with peach and mango and a peach puree and a Green tea with mint infused mint pesto served with penne…truly a garden feast that even Alice would be marveled by, thank you to Tetley teas, Checkers and Hatfield Flowers making this Garden Day a dream.

As someone once wrote “Gardening adds years to your life and life to your years.” – Unknown

Then “tea makes yesterday distant.” – Unknown

To another successful Garden Day , may we have many more.
